  I appreciate your site.

Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it. Can some tell the government?

My GGFather Robert BELL married Sarah HARCOURT in Newry in 1858. Sarah's HARCOURT family came from the Donaghmore parish. Do you have people of either surname on your records please?

What a great resource--looking forward to visiting in person some day. My grandfather was born in the Carrick-on-Suir workhouse, where his mother was matron and his father school master, so this is of personal interest.

We visited the museum on a recent visit to Ireland. What a gem of a place! Absolutely fascinating. The story of the building and the reasons for it is really well told. A boring old museum this is definitely not. Highly recommended.

This web site is particularly interesting to me because according to family stories my Gt.Grandmother, Mary Maher, was born in the Donaghmore Workhouse. It gives me an opportunity to see and read about it. Someday I would like to see it for myself when I visit Ireland again.
